Kissa-goi is as much the legacy of our pillow-fights and verbal wrestling as the shared curiosity for places and possibilities

Ever since we were kids, Anushrie and I fight. Be it for dolls, my reckless driving, or her questionable morning punctuality. There are a lot of words and then, none. Minutes, hours, or days later, we reconcile.

‘Tere bina sare koni, tere bina bane koni’

It translates to ‘can’t do with, can’t do without’. I can vividly imagine Mom saying this with a roll of her eyes. As far as I can remember, we have sought each other out for play, it shouldn’t have been a surprise that we looked to each other for work too.
